"The Tiger of the River".

This ferocious, trout-like predator is famous for its many writhing jumps and searing runs that rip your line down to the backing. It's a delightful challenge for any angler.

We offer two South American Dorado experiences: a 3.5-hour drive to the Rio Dulce or a quick flight to the Paraná River.

On this 8-hour float, we will make a stop for lunch, resting up in the shade and taking a refreshing dip in the river. In all, we float about 15 km down the river, catching Dorados ranging between 9 and 15 pounds.

In the Paraná anglers have the chance to catch bigger fish of up to 20-30 pounds, and can return on the boat to the lodge at noon.

Don't let the streamlined looks of these beautiful fish hide their true nature. Sharp teeth and powerful jaws will bend hooks and cut wires and once on the line they are famous for their jumps and long runs. These powerful and aggressive fish provide spectacular action when hooked on a fly rod, typically jumping acrobatically every chance they get.
